Hacking Rumba

irobot-top-view

It’s a good tendency to give people possibility to play with some devices. The same way as Neuros Technology or Trolltech iRobot built the iRobot Create kit to give hackers a better platform to work with. The test Rumba lacks only vacuum functionality (hackers don’t need this useless feature) and “cargo bay connector” which can support a Command Module. The rest is the same as “the third generation Roomba, with support for Virtual Walls, the Homebase (which it can hone in on via IR) and the Remote Control”.

The kit is not officially announced by iRobot yet. So, the availability and price are not tagged.
