I already blogged about bath automation system Bath-O-Matic. As you may guess now we’ll talk about application for iPhone/iPod touch to control that $6500 bath tub system. The Bathomatic iPhone App gives an easy way to manage any Bath-O-Matic system via WiFi: control drain plug, set the temperature, add bubbles or dispense etc. The application can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store.

With Hansgrohe RainBrain Smart Shower provides the most handy way to have a full control under the shower. It’s equiped with touchpad which allows to set water temperature, the type of stream and even control lighting (I suspect it should be connected to the lighting system) and music (can be transmit via Bluetooth). Moreover, the Hansgrohe shower give a possibility to keep shower preferences for each family member separately.

The bathroom traditionally has less digital stuff them the rest rooms. And GROHE tries to change that producing its digital collection of sink, tub and shower faucets named Ondus. It offers a new, modern way to operate water flow, duration and temperature using icon based touch-buttons. The current temperature is displayed on the rounded LCD display. Additionally the Ondus shower/bath models allow to store preferable shower parameters for each family member.

Unique Automation announced its new product – automated bath filling system Bath-O-Matic. It automatically lowers the motorized plug, fills up the bathtub to a predetermined temperature and depth, and can even add bubble bath and fragrances to the water. Additionally, the Bath-O-Matic auto adjusts depending on pressure, temperature, and never overflows. It can be integrated with AMX, Crestron or any other home automation system via RS232 or Ethernet(?) port.
Unique Automation offers two models of Bath-O-Matic: Basic – with a controller, motorized waste kit and basic UI and Eco Ultimate – with an eco controller, motorized waste kit with filler, basic UI, in-line heater and eight-way oil dispenser.
People who likes taking a bath can get Bath-O-Matic for around £4000.

Yanko Design, will-known design company, announced its new concept – a music shower. The idea is following. Shower head includes waterproof MP3 player together with buttons to control the player and water. The shower’s holder is a speaker and charger in one.
This idea is nice at the first look. The music system seems pretty simple and not expensive. Who knows maybe after two-three years it won’t be possible to find ordinary shower 🙂
