The New iRidium V2.1 is unique software package to visualize control of automation systems, Audio/Video equipment and Media Servers with full two-way communication, it enables control from any sevice and from any customized interface.

When working on the new version, iRidium programming team relied on advice and practical experience of integrators of different automation systems. As a result, the new version has new enhanced capabilities. iRidium V2.1 can control numerous automation protocols. iRidium Mobile Ltd. introduced iRidium 2.0 beta version at the “Integrated Systems Europe 2012” exhibition held on January 31 – February 2, 2012 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Attendees from 51 countries showed their interest in Universal Visualization and Control Software and visited the booth of
iRidium Mobile Ltd. The majority of them are familiar with iRidium and its boundless possibilities. A lot of companies who are employed in Automation market wanted to see iRidium software in action. The release of iRidium 2.0 version is expected in April, 2012. At the moment it is on the stage of worldwide testing.

After releasing a TPControl application for iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch to use Apple devices as full-functional AMX touch control panels, the Touch Panel Control Ltd decided to develop their software for the probably most popular and promising mobile platform Android.

The company will demonstrate the app at CEDIA Expo, Atlanta, September 22-26, 2010 to be followed by a beta launch. Full-fledged roll out of the application is planned for 90 days after CEDIA Expo.

Looks like we have a competitor of iRidium mobile software for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch. TPControl also allows to use Apple devices as full-featured touchscreen control panel for AMX home automation systems. It supports TP4 file natively and offers all functions of original control panel via WiFi or 3G connection. Additionally TPControl is authorized product partner of AMX.

I didn’t find the price of the TPControl software because as I understand it’s available via dealers only. The demo version of the software can be downloaded from AppStore and server part – from the producer site.

The server part is a disadvantage of TPControl comparing it with iRidium mobile. Because iRidium doesn’t need anything on the server side. Moreover, iRidium can be adjusted to use it with other IP-based home automation and entertainment systems.
