Slacker Radio come to Sonos wireless music systems

Sonos users now have another option for online radio called Slacker:

  • 10 times larger music catalog than Pandora
  • Only service to offer listening options ranging from Personal Radio to on-demand, allowing listeners to lean back and enjoy radio or lean forward to create playlists, hear entire albums and more
  • Offers a range of non-music content including personalized ESPN sports news, comedy, ABC News, festival stations with exclusive artist interviews, band/artist curated “Spotlight” stations and more
  • Offers over 150 custom genre stations hand programmed by expert DJs. DJ’s curation also influences listener-created custom stations

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – November 30, 2011 – Slacker, Inc. today announced that Sonos customers can now enjoy the most comprehensive personal radio experience from over 150 expert-programmed Slacker music stations to personalized ABC news, ESPN Radio content, comedy, artist-hosted showcase stations, leading music festival stations and much more. Slacker’s recently announced lifestyle stations, in conjunction with ABC, are planned to be launched shortly. With a music catalog over 10 times larger than the leading Internet radio competitor, Slacker Radio gives Sonos listeners the ultimate music discovery resource.

All three Slacker Radio tiers of service are available on Sonos – entirely free Slacker Basic Radio, ad-free Slacker Radio Plus and on-demand Slacker Premium Radio. Listeners can enjoy ad-free personal radio and unlimited song skips with a Radio Plus subscription, and Premium gives subscribers customizable radio and on-demand music access in one service.
