ZyXEL DMA-2500 HD Media Player
Recently ZyXEL introduced its new HD network media player DMA-2500. Its main purpose is streaming of 1080p High-Definition videos from networked shares, NAS, USB memory stick or HDD to HDTV. The DMA-2500 is capable of decoding most popular video and audio codec formats (H.264, WMV9, VC1, Dvix, Xvid, WMA, etc), as well as playing most popular video files (.MKV, .AVI, .WMV, .ISO, .IFO, .VOB, .MOV and .MPG, etc) without limitations. It play even encrypted digital contents using built-in DRM-ND. Additionally the DMA-2500 offers access to Web TV and Internet Radio Live365. Device is compatible with Wireless N USB Adapter. So, it can be connected to the home network via WiFi or using wired connection.
The price of the ZyXEL DMA-2500 HD Media Player is €280. It can be a competitor of another networked media player Popcorn Hour. But the last one has a big advantage – SDK and App Store which should give to users more flexibility with GUI and functionality.
