Look! The good example of TV installation

LCD TV and sound installation

Just found that picture on the Unplggd web site. Probably this is the best TV installation I seen ever! No any visible wires and stylish audio components. I’d like to know more about that installation. So, if you have some info, please, drop the comment.

UPDATE: The installation is used KEF KHT 3005 5.1 surround sound system (thanks to Paulo Hoppe for info!).

Elonex 7 Digital TV Photoframe

Digital TV Photoframe

The Elonex 7 Digital TV Photoframe can be a good Christmas present for home automation DIYers. For just about €50 you’ll get 7″ 16:9 photoframe with resolution 720 x 480 pixels with DVB-T TV tuner which turns that frame into small TV! It also includes a remote control and built-in stereo speakers as well as 3 in 1 Card Reader ( SD,MS,MMC) and USB port.

That amazing photoframe can be used as portable media player (it’ll work even in your care) or bathroom TV, as AutomatedHome suggests. But I’m not sure that hight humidity and hot steam won’t break the Elonex Photoframe. In any case, its price and features leaves much to the imagination.

24 different ways to mount a flat-panel TV

How to mount your plasma

CEPro published a slideshow which demonstrates how your flat-panel TV can be mounted. I was impressed by different kinds of rotating interfaces and mounting TV over fireplace. In the last case some additional work should be done to protect TV from the heat.

Ultra widescreen Cinema 21:9 LCD TV from Philips

Philips widescreen TV

Philips introduced its widescreen Cinema 21:9 LCD TV. That the first cinema-proportioned 56″ TV incorporates Ambilight technology. Since there is a lot of movies with 16:9 ratio it’d be interesting to know how Cinema 21:9 will handle them. According to producer it shouldn’t be a problem. It will accurately match “on-screen content to extend the picture beyond the confines of the screen”.

Philips promised to start selling Cinema 21:9 in Europe that Spring. The price and detailed spec are not available at that moment.
