Thanks for your idea regarding my problem with MD. I suspect that it&#039;s related with different architectures somehow. Because when I had a i686 core the MD was boot fine. And I faced with problem of adding MD after installation AMD64 ISO. I cannot add it even manually. So, I try to find the root of that problem together with LMCE developers.

Regarding to VDR. I&#039;m going to install satellite dish that weekend. So, for sure I&#039;ll post the results of testing VDR in my blog.</description>

for the MD not booting up, I had some issues when I was using ethernet links of different speed.
They use NFSv3 which is based on UDP and has its own flow control mechanism. So if you have a core with a gigabit link to a switch, but your MD is only 100Mbps (or there is a 100Mbps link in the middle), the core will send data over NFS too fast for the MD, and because the flow control of NFS doesn&#039;t work well in this situation, the install may hang. Don&#039;t know if that&#039;s your problem but it&#039;s worth considering.

Also, would be interested to hear your opinion on 0710beta3 and specially on the maturity of VDR. I had mythtv working perfectly using the frontend from KDE desktop (not launching it from the orbiter, that crashes too much) so I&#039;d like to be sure when I reinstall that VDR is the right choice.
