Elan chooses N800 as a control panel
As I see Internet Tablet Nokia N800 becomes more and more popular among producers of home automation and entertainment systems. Now it can be used to operate any of Elan Home Systems own products and those of its integration partners. You can easily control lighting, temperature or media in your home with customary interface of Elan’s Ole and Via panels. Sure you still can use traditional features of the N800, such as Web browsing, streaming A/V or VoIP calls.
Unfortunately, Elan doesn’t allow to you install its software to your N800 as it’s done for Plutohome of LinuxMCE. You should buy it from Elan only. But this is a cost of proprietary approach. Anyway, this a good news for both fans of N800 and users of Elan Home Systems.
