SmartUnity is a new home automation system based on Beckhoff CX central processor. SmartUnity system is fully compatible with all hardware Beckhoff I/O, plus it supports LON, EIB/KNX, DALI, M-BUS, MP-BUS, DMX, RS232/485 and EnOcean networks. You can also create user interface for all platforms including: Windows XP/Vista/7, Windows CE/Mobile, MacOS, iPhone, Linux, Android, Symbian etc (see attached scheme).

SmartUnity software suite consists of:

• Embedded – Beckhoff CX embedded run-time control program;
• Configuration Tool (ProjectBuilder) – tool for designing a project in a simple, user-friendly way;
• Expression library – dll for Microsoft Blend (user interface builder) containing home automation controls (lights, blinds, relays, multimedia, cctv etc.);
• iSmartHouse – application to control your home using iPhone/iPod Touch;
• MediaCenter – plug-in for Windows Media Center (Vista and Windows 7 compatible) to control it via SmartUnity home;
• MultiRoom – plug-in for Windows Media Player or iTunes that helps you to create multichannel multiroom server using several audio cards. Also controllable via SmartUnity.
