XBMC 9.04 ‘Babylon’ has been released


Release of free cross-platform media center software XBMC 9.04 ‘Babylon’ was announced yesterday evening. You can choose between Apple TV, Mac OS X (Tiger, Leopard. Intel-x86, PowerPC), Windows (XP, Vista), Linux (Ubuntu PPA), Xbox versions or use a bootable Live CD/USB distribution. The new version brings support of PPC (PowerPC) for Mac OS X and VDPAU (NVIDIA GPU Hardware Accelerated Video Decoding) for Linux, Karaoke features, more Media Info Scrapers, improved FanArt support. Also codecs was updated and XBMC Skinning Framework was improved to make customization of user interface much easier.
